May 9th, 2007: I felt like I needed
to contribute something to the construction so I installed all of the
network and audio cable. This ended up taking 4 full days (much more
than I had anticipated), running cable up from the server room in the
basement to all parts of the house. When I finished, I had run 1500 ft.
of cat6 for gigabit ethernet, 200 ft. of cat6 for PoE (power over
ethernet) for the security system, and 800 ft. of 14 gauge CL3 audio
cable. The audio systems will include a 9-speaker 5.1 Dolby system for
the kitchen and patio, a 5-speaker 5.1 Dolby system for the master
suite, and a 7-speaker 7.1 enhanced Dolby system for the basement.

May 9th, 2007: Termination point for
all the cat6 ethernet drops in the server room in the basement.
It's a bit messy but it will look a lot better when I install the
wall-mount rack for the patch panels and switches.

May 9th, 2007: Its a good thing that
I got all the wiring done when I did because all the insulation went in
a few days later. This is the stairwell from the Great Room to the
basement.

May 19th, 2007: The stucco starts
going up. This is the East-facing entrance to the courtyard and casita.

May 19th, 2007: The flat overhang
was a little bland so we had corbels added to match the reoccurring
theme throughout the house.

May 19th, 2007: The drywall goes up
after the insulation is put in. This is one of the hallways from the
garage to the common rooms.
